Sunlight Supply's Aquarium Lighting system comes complete with a 250W Digital Lumatek Dimmable Ballast, Socket and Lamp Cord, Reef Optix I Pendant Reflector and your choice of Radium or Ushio or Radium Blue 20K lamps. This Lumatek electronic ballast model runs 250W Metal Halide or 250W HPS mogul base bulbs on the same electronic ballast. In addition the ballast features the Super Lumens options allowing 10% more light at the flip of a switch. Other features of this Lumatek electronic ballast include generating more lumens per watt of electricity consumed thereby losing fewer watts from the power supply to the lamp/bulb. This results in an amazing power factor of 99%+. Another feature is that high frequency output results in low power loss. Lumatek’s Electronic Dimmable Ballast also has a fast start-up reaching full brightness under one minute.
