This 24 watt German-made Blue T5 HO fluorescent bulb offers a blue spectrum that peaks at 450nm encouraging bluing in SPS corals and minor fluorescence in capable corals. This T5 24 watt fluorescent aquarium lamp is great when used with 10k or 6500k metal halide lamps to encourage bluing in SPS. Other preferred ratios include 1:1 with Sun Lamps, or 2:1:1 Sun/Blue/Actinic for best blend of bluing and fluorescence.T5 fluorescent bulbs are 5/8" diameter fluorescent tubes rather than the standard 1-1/2" diameter. This slim profile makes T5 fluorescents more efficient than standard fluorescent tubes. T5 fluorescent bulbs also put out more light than standard fluorescents, power compacts and VHOs. Use the high output fluorescent aquarium bulb with the Tek Light T5 Fluorescent aquarium fixtures.
