Each ballast runs a 250W Metal Halide Light Bulb for a total of 500 Watts. This fully assembled dual 250W metal halide ballast also has rubber feet, a back lit on/off switch, louvers for cooling, heavy duty key-way handle, high temperature 100° capacitor and 6ft. power cord. Pulse start ballasts provide a higher starting voltage and igniter designed specifically to ignite these lamps. The igniter starts the lamp and the ballasts' core and coil operates the lamp, allowing for optimization of both lamp and ballast performance. Integrated intermatic timer is available.
